In the tables the second column shows the number of students
scoring 0,1,2, ….10 marks in a test. The third column
has been obtained by adding up the frequencies in the second
column.
So,
for example, 26 students had a mark of 7 or less. 26 is the
cumulative frequency corresponding to 7 marks. Cumulative
frequencies can be shown graphically. This type of graph is
sometimes called an ogive.
