Question: What is a Gram ?

Answer:

A Gram is a measure of mass.

It is roughly the mass of a cubic centimeter of water at 4°C. A packet of crisps has a mass of about 25 grams, written 25g.

There are 1000 grams in 1 kilogram. The International System of Units abbreviation for the gram is g, and follows the numeric value with a space, as in 200 g.

In some fields and regions, the international standard symbols for units are used quite strictly, in particular in technical and scientific publications and in legally regulated product labels.
