Question: What is Rate of Change ?

Answer:

The rate at which an object changes its distance with time is its speed So, for e.g. a train which covers 9 miles in 6 minutes is traveling at an average speed of 90 mph. On a straight line graph showing how far a train has traveled with time, the gradient of the graph gives the rate of change and hence the speed. The steeper the slope, the faster the train is traveling.

When money is Invested in a bank or building society or National savings, the money grows at a speed determined by the rate of interest.
